Polls were open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. PT on Saturday, Oct. 20.
We had live, real-time poll results beginning at 7:30 p.m. PT on Oct. 20.
Our special election broadcast started at 8 p.m. PT on BC1, radio, online (above) and social media and continued past midnight.
Global BC and Global Okanagan broadcast from 10 p.m. to midnight.

There were 3,396 candidates running for positions across B.C. in this election. That included 73 candidates that withdrew after the declaration of candidates.
They were running for the offices of mayor, councillor, board of education trustee, electoral area director, local trust area trustee, park board member/commissioner, local community commissioner, water councillor, rural water councillor and advisory council member.
