Liz Cheney loses Wyoming’s Republican primary, Alaska’s Lisa Murkowski heads to midterms

Republican Rep. Liz Cheney lost her Wyoming primary on Tuesday night, becoming the latest GOP member of Congress who voted to impeach former president Donald Trump over the Jan. 6 Capitol riot to lose their bid at re-election in a rebuke by supporters of Trump. Meanwhile, Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski, who voted to convict Trump at his impeachment trial, will face off against a Trump-backed Republican in November, in part due to the state's all-party primary system.
