Opposition to Liberals high-speed rail project grows

The plan for a $90 billion high-speed rail line that would connect Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal and Quebec City is running into obstacles even before construction begins. The Parti Quebecois is threatening to pull Quebec from the plans if it wins the next provincial election. Its leader today called it a “financial fiasco.” And as Mike Armstrong reports, there’s growing resistance in rural parts of eastern Ontario where the ALTO line would run.
