B.C. investigator reveals gang letter claimed 1,000 foot soldiers linked to extortion network
Testimony at a deportation hearing has revealed a letter sent to Abbotsford police in August 2025, claimed the Lawrence Bishnoi gang had more than 1,000 foot soldiers willing to carry out extortion-related shootings. Investigators say the letter remains part of an ongoing investigation and declined to discuss specific details. Police also say extortion-related incidents have dropped significantly, with no related shootings reported in Abbotsford since December 2025.
