While investigations are underway into the deadly fire at CFB Wainwright, one of the many aspects of that day to be examined is the decision to continue training on the base while a grass fire was burning on the range. As Jeff Semple reports, a number of fire experts say the combination of an active fire, dry grass and high winds was a recipe for disaster.
