An ongoing labour dispute could upend many Canadians’ holiday travel plans. Pilots at Air Transat have given notice that they are preparing to go on strike this Wednesday. As a result, the Canadian airline said it will begin grounding flights starting Monday, and will suspend all service on Tuesday, unless a last-minute deal can be reached. While walking the red carpet at the Kennedy Center Honors Gala on Sunday, U.S. President Donald Trump gave on update on brief trade talks he held with the leaders of Canada and Mexico on Friday. Asked if he would restart trade negotiations he halted with Canada in late October, Trump responded, “Canada makes a lot of things that we don't need – because we make them also – but we'll work it out.”
