Immigration minister Marc Miller introduced legislation on Thursday that would extend automatic citizenship to anyone who was born outside the country to a Canadian parent. Bill C-71 would also restore citizenship to “Lost Canadians”—individuals who lost or never acquired citizenship due to outdated legislation.
