As Alberta referendum looms, Forever Canadian fights to stay part of the nation
As the independence movement gains steam in Alberta, so does an uptick of Albertans dead set on staying in Confederation. The ‘Forever Canadian’ campaign, headed by former deputy premier Thomas Lukaszuk, collected more than 400,000 signatures in support of Alberta remaining in Canada. Blake Lough spoke with some of the volunteers with the campaign to see what motivated them to act.
