Trump warns he could put ‘very severe tariffs’ on Canadian fertilizer
U.S. President Trump warned of "very severe tariffs" on Canadian fertilizer Monday during an announcement to rollback environmental restrictions on farming equipment. "A lot of it does come in from Canada," Trump said, adding that if "you put very severe tariffs from (fertilizer) coming in from other countries, you'll be making your own fertilizer very soon." The U.S. president also announced that his administration was ending Biden-era environmental restrictions on farming equipment. "You need a 185 IQ to turn on a lawnmower," Trump joked.
