Growing up on a farm near Warren, Man., gave Kahla lots of practice getting up at an early hour.
After graduating college in 2007, she moved around the country telling stories, living and working in almost every province, from Vancouver, B.C. to Saint John, N.B.
Some of Kahla’s favourite career moments include travelling to Guatemala with World Vision, interviewing Montreal Canadiens’ goaltender Carey Price, competing in a professional ballroom dancing competition for charity and making it onto a “Last Week Tonight with John Oliver” segment.
Prior to joining Global Winnipeg in the spring of 2018, she was an Anchor and Reporter with Global News Morning and also worked as a Senior Weather Specialist in Regina. She’s happy to be back home in Manitoba and back with a Global News team.
Outside of her TV life, Kahla enjoys running with her dog Harley, reading and watching storms roll in.
