Sarah McCarthy is a Morning Radio Anchor and Digital Broadcast Journalist at 680 CJOB with more than nine years of media experience. Starting as a part-time event reporter in high school, she went away to school for Journalism-Broadcast at Fanshawe College. Then when she returned home she worked her way up and eventually joined CKDR in Dryden, Ontario as a full-time News Anchor/Reporter. In 2022, she moved to Winnipeg to become the afternoon radio anchor on 680 CJOB before transitioning to her current role. Sarah has covered notable events like the 2022 Winnipeg Election and breaking the news of Queen Elizabeth II’s passing. Notably, she was part of the Live at Five team nominated for an RTDNA award. In her spare time, she enjoys visiting local coffee and tea spots and getting outdoors.
