Jeanelle Mandes is a Digital Broadcast Journalist with Global Regina.
Jeanelle is passionate about covering Indigenous stories and providing communities with tools and education on Indigenous history. She has worked in the industry for over a decade, during which she has been able to share her knowledge on protocols for reporting in Indigenous communities. Her career highlights include covering significant stories impacting Indigenous peoples, including the last stand at Standing Rock and the Pope’s apology to residential school survivors.
When Jeanelle is not busy reporting she enjoys spending time with her daughter and teaching Indigenous Journalism part-time at the University of Regina’s School of Journalism.
