Liberal House leader Steven MacKinnon said Monday that the government has proposed to opposition parties that a debate on the hostilities in Iran and the impact for Canadians abroad be held in the House of Commons. "Canada is not consulted on, nor were the United Nations consulted on, the actions right now," he said and added that the government is "very, very focused" on the safety of Canadians in the region and "on making sure that they are able, if they desire, to exit the region and offering them options."

11-year-old Marietta Star Colombe died by suicide on Feb. 4 . Her parents say she had been bullied and hope their grief draws attention to the devastating effects bullying can have. Melissa Ridgen reports.
