Videographer
Moosa Imran is a videographer with Global Durham.
As a paper boy at nine years old, Moosa had no idea he would someday become a journalist for Global News. It wasn’t until he was 16 that he made the decision to pursue journalism as a career. In 2021 he began his career as a reporter/photographer for the Grimsby-Lincoln News. After a year in that position, he became the news editor for the Canadian Mining Journal. After spending just shy of a year there, he then began his time with Global News in Regina, later joining Durham in 2025.
One of Moosa’s earliest career highlights was seeing people sharing his stories on social media for the first time. Another major highlight included interviewing Canadian National Team hockey player and Olympic Gold Medalist, Hailey Baldwin.
When Moosa is not busy reporting, he enjoys spending his time with family and friends and doing the same thing he does at work – talking to people and learning their stories.
Community Contributors are hand-picked by Global News to write about their area of expertise. Their views are their own and do not necessarily represent Global News. See more →
