Local Online Journalist
Daina Goldfinger is a writer and editor based in Toronto who has five years of experience in the journalism industry.
Before starting at Global News, Daina worked as an editorial fellow at The Walrus, where she became an adept fact-checker and contributed to a project on sex education that later won a Digital Publishing Award.
Daina is most passionate about reporting on issues of justice, health and the environment. She’s produced a series of stories about Ontario’s addiction treatment system for TVO and a multimedia package about natural disaster reporting for the Ryerson Review of Journalism.
Daina has also contributed to Toronto Life, This Magazine and Alternatives Journal.
She holds a master’s in journalism from Ryerson University and a bachelor’s in communications from Wilfrid Laurier University.
