Ryan White joined Global News in the spring of 2023 to help guide the output of its talented, dedicated digital team.
Career highlights for the veteran online journalist, a graduate of the Southern Alberta Institute of Alberta’s Broadcast News program, include coverage of the historic flooding in Calgary and southern Alberta in 2013 and the spirit of community that emerged at the time and in the months that followed to help those affected. Ryan has covered multiple municipal, provincial and federal elections, high-profile court cases, natural disasters and the long-lasting saga of Calgary arena/event centre negotiations involving the City of Calgary and Calgary Flames ownership.
The proud father and volunteer basketball coach loves to travel with his family and has been fortunate enough to have spent time in Spain, Puerto Rico, China, Cambodia and Thailand.
Ryan is a long-suffering fan of the Oakland Athletics and is steadfast in his belief that the A’s belong in the Bay area.
