Cam Poitras
Radio Host
Born and raised in Winnipeg, Cameron Poitras’s interests go far beyond his beloved Winnipeg Jets and Winnipeg Blue Bombers. A lover of history, movies, art, video games, travel, music, theatre, television, reading, writing and food & drink, he admits to watching the Lord of the Rings: Extended Editions too many times to count! Despite his passion for sports, Cameron often jokes he’s never shown a shred of athletic talent.
Prior to attending the Academy of Broadcasting in the bowels of Polo Park, he worked construction at his family’s concrete company.
His first radio gig was reading the news at CKDM in Dauphin, Manitoba, followed by positions at 92.9 Big West Country in Drayton Valley, Alberta and Q101.1 in Merritt, B.C., before moving to Calgary to work at QR77 where they tried their hardest to make him a Stampeders fan.
Returning to Winnipeg to be closer to his family, he took a part-time job delivering pizzas and reading the news at 680 CJOB. He is now co-hosting Jets @ Noon and anchoring morning sports.
