Bindu Suri anchors Global News at Noon weekdays on Global Calgary. Bindu grew up in Medicine Hat before moving to Calgary to chase her dream of working in broadcast news.
She worked in Brandon Manitoba, Medicine Hat, and Red Deer. It was quite the adventure, but with her sights set on Calgary, she jumped at the chance to join the team at Global News Calgary.
Over the years Bindu has covered important local stories, while also bringing viewers live coverage of unforgettable events outside our city. 2010 brought a devastating avalanche to Revelstoke and massive flooding to Southern Alberta that garnered Global Calgary a Regional RTDNA Honourable Mention for Continuing Coverage.
When she’s not working, Bindu enjoys spending time with her big family, traveling, and hosting local events that promote diversity in our community.
Watch below: Bindu answers questions for Global Calgary viewers, including what her original career plans were, what inspires her, and something you don’t know about her.
