History
This is a new riding as a result of boundary changes, made up of areas previously part of Edmonton-South West and smaller parts of Edmonton-Whitemud, Edmonton-Ellerslie and Leduc-Beaumont.
Dang was part of the 2015 orange crush, which saw the Alberta NDP stomp out a 44-year Progressive Conservative dynasty in the province.
