Nova Scotia RCMP have announced that they’ve laid charges against three people after a shooting two weeks ago left a man injured in Skye Glen, N.S.
According to the Inverness District RCMP, officers conducted a search on June 4 to investigate two homes after police responded to calls of man being shot in the leg.
During the search RCMP seized firearms, ammunition and drugs, including a quantity of marijuana and six kg of cocaine. Police say that they also seized ‘sophisticated’ drug packaging equipment.

James Francis Goswell, 33, was arrested on June 2 and has been charged with:
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Possession of a firearm without a licence
- Possession of a firearm while prohibited by order
- Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking
James Edwin ‘Tyler’ Goswell, 33, was arrested on June 3 and faces charges including:
- Aggravated assault
- Careless use of a firearm
- Pointing a firearm
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Carrying a concealed weapon
- Possession of a firearm without a licence
- Possession of a firearm without a licence
- Possession of a loaded restricted firearm
- Possession of a restricted firearm obtained by the commission of a crime
- Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking

Makayla Sutherland, 21, has been charged with:
- Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking
According to police. Justin Goswell and Tyler Goswell have been held in custody since their arrests and appeared in provincial court on June 5 before being remanded in custody. They are scheduled to return to to court on Tuesday.
Sutherland has been released and will appear in court at a later date.
RCMP are anticipating further arrest and charges in relation to this incident. Their investigation is still ongoing.
