Drew Stremick
Digital Broadcast Journalist and Weather Specialist
Drew Stremick is a Digital Journalist for Global Calgary.
Drew Stremick’s media career started immediately after graduation as a radio reporter and news anchor at Lethbridge News Now. Reporting on the UCP leadership race in Alberta was a career highlight for Drew, but becoming a weather specialist was always on his wish list.
In October 2022, he moved to Winnipeg to take on the role of Video Journalist, but was offered a chance to become the new Morning Weather Anchor at Global News instead.
In the spring of 2024, he became a digital broadcast journalist with Global Winnipeg and a few months later he joined the Global team in Calgary.
When Drew’s not reporting the news, you might find him bouldering, enjoying live music, trying out new craft beers, cooking up a storm, or even playing Dungeons and Dragons.
Community Contributors are hand-picked by Global News to write about their area of expertise. Their views are their own and do not necessarily represent Global News. See more →
