Drew Stremick
Digital Journalist and Weather Specialist
Joining Global Calgary in 2024, Drew Stremick is a jack of all trades within the newsroom.
Born in Northern Saskatchewan, raised on Vancouver Island, and spent nearly a decade working as an electrician right here in Calgary, he’s always had a passion for news, with a particular interest for provincial politics, trades, technology, and environment.
Drew graduated from SAIT’s Radio, Television, and Broadcast News program in 2022, starting off as a radio reporter and anchor in Lethbridge Alberta before moving to Manitoba to join Global Winnipeg as a digital broadcast journalist and weather anchor.
When Drew’s not reporting the news, you might find him bouldering, enjoying live music, trying out new craft beers, cooking up a new recipe, or even playing Dungeons and Dragons.”
