Price tag to repair Highway 97 near Summerland after rockslides came down pegged at $1 Million, possibly more
The Transportation Ministry today revealing the rising cost of repairing Highway 97 in the South Okanagan and building a detour route. It’s been two weeks since rock slides blocked the highway between Peachland and Summerland. The ministry pegs the cost of road repairs and slope stabilization at about a million dollars. but that figure could climb even higher.
