N.S. man charged after RCMP seize 310K contraband cigarettes in New Brunswick

A Nova Scotia man has been charged after RCMP in New Brunswick seized more than 310,000 contraband cigarettes and cash during a traffic stop.

Paul Perry of East Preston, N.S., appeared in Moncton Provincial Court on March 8. He was charged with two counts of possession of unstamped tobacco, one count of possession of more than 1,000 cigarettes, and one count of selling, offering to sell, delivering and possessing unstamped tobacco.

A 55-year-old man from Dartmouth, N.S., was also arrested and released on a recognizance. He is scheduled to appear in Moncton Provincial Court on July 9.
