Halton police investigating shooting in Georgetown

/1 Halton Police have responded to reports of shots being fired at a residence on Garrison Sq. in Georgetown.

There are no reports of injuries.

Expect ongoing heavy police presence and avoid this area.

/2 Suspect fled the scene in a compact white vehicle; direction of travel not known.

Suspect described as male, approx. 5'9", wearing a dark hoodie with possibly a darker coloured jacket.

Suspect was seen with a black handgun. If seen, do not approach. Call 9-1-1. ^jh

/3 Heavy police presence continues at/near Garrison Square in Georgetown, including uniform officers, K9, and our Tactical Rescue Unit.

Suspect vehicle observed leaving the scene is described as a white or silver, newer model Honda Accord or Hyundai.
