History
McIver was a member of the Progressive Conservatives during the 2015 election.
The riding, which was established in a 2004 boundary redistribution, had previously elected Progressive Conservative MLAs.
Calgary-Hays includes the deep south communities of McKenzie, McKenzie Towne, New Brighton and Douglasdale.
