Lasia Kretzel joined the Global BC online team in 2022 as a social media coordinator before transitioning into her current role as a digital broadcast journalist. She focuses on bringing Global’s stories to new platforms and digital audiences.
An award-winning journalist now based in Vancouver, Lasia has worked in several newsrooms across Canada, including Ottawa, Toronto, Saskatoon and Calgary and her work has spanned all forms of media from print, to online, social media, radio, photojournalism, and television.
Born on the prairies, Lasia has travelled the country extensively and enjoys cooking, film, hiking and camping, science and technology, literature, and philosophy. And yes, she will own a pretzel stand one day.
