A man was been taken into custody in Hammonds Plains on Wednesday after he allegedly failed to stop for police in Bedford.
Halifax Regional Police say they tried to stop a vehicle near the intersection of Amin Street and Christie Court at around 10:30 a.m.

Police say the vehicle didn’t stop and the pursuit was called off “in the interest of safety.”

In an updated news release Wednesday afternoon, police said the vehicle was located with the assistance of Halifax District RCMP on Anderson Road in Hammonds Plains.
“A man was taken into custody by police. The investigation is ongoing,” police said.
