Calgary police are searching for suspects after a shooting in the northeast on Wednesday.
Police said several shots were fired between two vehicles in the parking lot of a 7-Eleven near 32 Avenue N.E. and 64 Street N.E. after 9:30 p.m.
No injuries were reported.
According to police, both vehicles took off from the Temple neighbourhood, but officers later found one matching the description of the offending vehicle in Marlborough.
Officers surrounded the home – located in the 1000 block of Marcombe Drive N.E.
“As there is potentially a firearm in the residence, the situation is being treated as high-risk,” a news release explained.
Police asked Calgarians to avoid the area while they worked to resolve the incident “as safely as possible.”
Then, shortly before 4 a.m., Calgary police issued a tweet saying the situation had been resolved.
Police told Global News they determined the people inside the home were not linked the shooting, and no one was taken into custody.
