A 19-year-old man has been arrested in connection to two robberies that took place at two separate Circle K convenience stores in Barrie on April 10 and 12, police say.
The suspect was charged with two counts of robbery with a weapon, two counts of administering a noxious substance, two counts of disguise with intent, two counts of assault with a weapon and two counts of dangerous weapons, officers add.
In the early morning of April 12, a man reportedly robbed a Circle K convenience store at 477 Grove St. E., which was followed by another alleged burglary that took place at a different Circle K at 353 Duckworth St. two days prior, police say.
During both robberies, the suspect was armed with bear repellent-like spray, police said, and during the burglary on April 12, he discharged it onto the store clerk.
The clerk was incapacitated for a short time but was not seriously injured, Barrie officers said.
Police said the suspect is described as a white male, who is between five-foot-11 to six feet tall, with a medium build, dark-coloured eyebrows and wearing an all-black sweater, pants, toque, balaclava and shoes.
The red bandana that the suspect wore in the area of his left hip on the alleged incident on April 10 was not present on April 12, police said.

After robbing the store on April 12, the suspect reportedly fled on foot with an undisclosed sum of money and cigarettes, officers added, and on April 10, the suspect fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
The accused was held for a bail hearing and is in custody awaiting a future court date, Barrie officers say.
