A Brampton man has been charged with assault after an incident involving a flight attendant on board a jet at Hamilton International Airport.
Hamilton police say a passenger was smoking aboard a Swoop airlines plane that was sitting on the tarmac at John C. Munro Airport on Wednesday.
Police say that when the man was asked to come to the back of the plane, the situation escalated and he allegedly shoved a female staff member into a wall.
A 34-year-old man was arrested on a charge of assault and after a delay, the flight left for Halifax, its scheduled destination.
