Police spent almost seven hours trying to arrest a Lethbridge man Friday night.
Police were executing an arrest warrant for Dylan Ivan Sokol at about 9:30 p.m., but when they arrived at a residence to arrest him, the 20-year-old fled on foot into the Winston Villas Apartments, on the 1300 Block of 23 Avenue north.

Police said they tried to negotiate with him, but had no luck.
The LPS Tactical Team was eventually called in to help. When those attempts failed, specialized tactics were used to gain Sokol’s attention, which resulted in him giving up to police at around 4:30 a.m. Saturday.
