BUFFALO RIVER DENE NATION, Sask. – The chief of a Saskatchewan First Nation has been charged with assault.
Dillon RCMP charged Lance Ben Byhette, 41, after a man was assaulted on Monday during an argument at a residence on the Buffalo River Dene First Nation.

Byhette is also charged with being intoxicated contrary to a band bylaw.
He is scheduled to appear in court on May 7.
