Andrea Macpherson
Reporter
Andrea Macpherson started her broadcast career shortly after high school and has spent close to two decades in the industry.
She got her start in the BC Central Interior and in the South Okanagan working as a radio reporter/anchor and host.
She moved back to Vancouver in 2007 to report and anchor for News1130, where she had the privilege of not only reporting on the 2010 Winter Olympic Games, but also announcing live on air that Sidney Crosby had scored the “Golden Goal” during the men’s gold medal hockey game.
In 2014, Andrea signed on at Breakfast Television and helped in the launch of the CityNews evening newscasts a few years later.
Andrea joined Global in 2019 and is up bright and early to report for Global News Morning. When she is not reporting she can be found producing or taking on a number of different roles behind the scenes. Andrea enjoys sleeping in on her days off, travelling, and sunny days outside with friends and family.
