Vernon plans to ban shopping carts on public property
Description
July 24, 2018
The city of Vernon is planning to ban shopping carts on public property. It's meant to prevent unsightly abandoned carts from cluttering up public space and encourage the city's homeless population to use shelters. However, critics of the move are concerned it will be another blow to those on the streets who are already struggling.
