Spallumcheen wildfire under control

August 11, 2017
The cause of a wildfire that started just north of Vernon on Thursday is still under investigation. The blaze was difficult to access and grew quickly, putting about 200 homes on evacuation alert. The fire burned more than four hectares but, as Megan Turcato reports, the blaze is no longer growing.
