<b>UPDATE: The Jura fire has grown to 200 hectares, but fire crews worked overnight to place a guard around two-thirds of the perimeter. The goal is to have the fire completely guarded today. The evacuation alert will be re-assessed Thursday afternoon.</b>
NEAR PRINCETON -- Another evacuation alert has been issued in the South Okanagan.
The Jura fire is at 35 hectares, and is burning between Summerland and Princeton.
It's prompted the Regional District of Okanagan Similkameen to issue an evacuation alert for homes along the Summerland/Princeton Road, affecting 606 properties.
