Global News is projecting Shannon Phillips will win the Lethbridge-West seat for the Alberta New Democrat Party.
Lethbridge-West is a provincial riding located in southern Alberta. This riding is currently represented by New Democratic Party MLA Shannon Phillips who first took office in 2015.
Phillips collected 11,016 votes, winning 45.22 per cent of the vote in the 2019 Alberta provincial election.
The UCP candidate for the riding, Torry Tanner, resigned in March after a campaign video referencing the LGBTQ2 community surfaced on social media and drew backlash. Cheryl Seaborn is the new UCP candidate for the riding.
Voters will decide who will represent Lethbridge-West during the upcoming Alberta provincial election on May 29, 2023. Visit this page on election night for a complete breakdown of up-to-the-minute results.
