Saskatchewan RCMP confirmed Monday afternoon that the body of Damien Sanderson was found Monday morning on James Smith Cree Nation.
Police confirm that Myles and Damien were brothers, and that Damien’s body was found in a heavily-grassed area near a house that is being examined, and that his body had injuries. RCMP did not say what those injuries were.
Myles Sanderson remains at large and police are focusing their efforts in the Regina area.
RCMP charged the two suspects in a stabbing spree with first-degree murder earlier Monday.
Myles Sanderson is charged with three counts of first-degree murder; one count of attempted murder; and one count of break and enter of a residence.

“To the people of Saskatchewan and beyond – please be assured that we are using every human, investigational and technological resource we have available to locate and arrest the persons responsible for this tragedy and to ensure your safety,” says Rhonda Blackmore, assistant commissioner in charge of Saskatchewan RCMP.
RCMP confirm that there are now 11 people dead and 19 injured across 13 locations.
Blackmore said they suspect that Myles may also be injured.
He was also confirmed to have a Canada-wide warrant for his arrest since May due to unrelated charges.
Regina’s police chief Evan Bray said RCMP and police have been working through the night and will continue working to find Myles, and that they still believe Myles may still be in Regina.
“As far as the ongoing investigation goes, we are still operating under the impression that Myles is in the city of Regina,” said Bray.
He added that they are uncertain of who Myles may have been in the vehicle with.
A sixth emergency alert was sent out around 11:40 a.m. by Saskatchewan RCMP reiterating that the two suspects were still at large, and that the investigation is ongoing.
“Hundreds of Saskatchewan RCMP staff are dedicated to this investigation – this includes operators taking 911 calls and tips, to frontline officers patrolling our streets to the on-scene specialized forensic and Major Crime Unit teams who continue to follow up on all information and evidence gathered.”
Officers are asking for people to remain vigilant, and a news release said that if there’s a risk to the public, alerts will go out.
“If new evidence identifies public safety risks, we will let the public know through Saskatchewan’s Emergency Public Alerting program and alerts will be broadcast on TV and radio, and through cell phones. We will also update our social media channels and public website,” read the news release.
Calls to the Saskatchewan RCMP started coming in around 5:40 a.m. on Sunday reporting stabbings at different locations in the James Smith Cree Nation.
A dangerous persons alert was issued for the province and was extended into Alberta and Manitoba as well.
Police say the stabbings took place in James Smith Cree Nation and Weldon.
Around noon on Sunday, law enforcement were led to believe that the suspects were last seen in Regina.
Bray said continued updates will be given throughout the day as they continue this investigation.
