Global News is projecting Liberal MP Arif Virani has been re-elected in the riding of Parkdale—High Park.
The riding of Parkdale—High Park is located west of Toronto’s downtown and its rough boundaries are the Humber River on the west side, the CP rail line south of St. Clair Avenue West on the north, the rail lines where GO Transit and UP Express trains operate, Dufferin Street and Lake Shore Boulevard West (excluding the CNE grounds) on the east, and Lake Ontario on the south.
Virani was re-elected to the Parkdale-High Park riding in 2019, with 47.4 per cent of the vote. Paul Taylor of the NDP came in second place with 19,180 votes.

The riding was held by former NDP MP Peggy Nash between 2006 and 2008, as well as 2011 and 2015.
Virani defeated Nash by 1.8 percentage points in 2015. Former Liberal MP Gerrard Kennedy held the seat between 2008 and 2011.
The electoral district is home to 108,805 residents and 84,479 registered voters, according to the 2016 census.
