Durham Regional Police say a cyclist suffered life-threatening injuries after he was hit by a vehicle in Uxbridge on Saturday.
In a news release, police said they received a call at around 11:50 a.m. for reports of a crash involving a cyclist and a vehicle on Regional Highway 47 at Old Stouffville Road.
Police said a 78-year-old Stouffville man driving a grey 2018 Toyota Rav 4 was heading north on Regional Highway 47 when he collided with the cyclist.
The victim, a 64-year-old man, was airlifted to a Toronto trauma centre with life-threatening injuries.

As of late Saturday, he was reported to be in critical condition.
Police said the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene of the crash.
