Liberal candidate Francis Scarpaleggia is the projected winner in the riding of Lac-Saint-Louis.
The riding is located in the West Island area of Montreal. It includes the cities of Baie-D’Urfé, Beaconsfield, Kirkland, Pointe-Claire and Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue.
Liberal incumbent Francis Scarpaleggia won the seat in 2019 with almost 60 per cent of the vote, after having held the seat consecutively since 2004. Scarpaleggia is passionate about the protection of Canada’s freshwater. He has tabled several water-related bills and motions in the House of Commons.
Lac-Saint-Louis was created in 1997 and it has been a Liberal stronghold since. Clifford Lincoln was elected MP from 1997 to 2004 before passing the baton to Scarpaleggia in 2004.
