Canada election results: Saint John–Rothesay

Incumbent Wayne Long is projected to hold on to the seat in the riding of Saint John-Rothesay.

Saint John-Rothesay is located in southern New Brunswick and includes the city of Saint John.

Its neighbouring ridings are Fundy Royal and New Brunswick Southwest.

During the 2012 federal electoral redistribution, the riding, which was formerly called Saint John, was renamed Saint John—Rothesay.

The riding has elected both Liberals and Conservatives throughout its history. Incumbent Liberal Wayne Long was first elected in 2015, beating long-standing Conservative Rodney Weston with 48.8 per cent of the vote. Long retained his seat in the 2019 election with 37.4 per cent of the vote.

Saint John—Rothesay saw a dip in population from 2011 to 2016, dropping to 79,363 from 82,074.
