Police are seeking to identify a driver after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in Barrie.
On March 4 at around 7:40 a.m., Barrie police say, a pedestrian was walking southbound on Yonge Street approaching Big Bay Point Road.
Officers say the pedestrian was walking on the west side of the street across the merge lane in an attempt to cross the road.
Police say that while crossing within the merge lane, the pedestrian was stuck by a vehicle turning right onto Big Bay Point Road.
Officers say the female driver of the vehicle made an effort to ask if the pedestrian was injured before leaving the scene.

Police are now searching for a woman in her 40s with curly brown hair, driving a vehicle that officers say is orange or red in colour.
Officers are urging the driver of the vehicle to contact police in order to complete the investigation.
