Police were initially called to a Thompson home around 6:20 a.m. Sunday, where they were told the suspect had kicked in the door, threatened a female victim and fled the scene.

The next morning, around 2:30 a.m., police were called to the same home, where the man, who had again kicked in the door, was inside with the victim and her children.

Police found the man armed with a knife and holding on to the victim. He then let go and approached the officers with the knife.
