The highly-anticipated Thank U, Next has finally arrived.
That’s right, pop sensation Ariana Grande dropped her latest record early Friday (Feb. 8) and her fans are going absolutely bananas with excitement.
After releasing the album’s debut/self-titled single in November, Grande established that Thank U, Next would embody a fierce and all-female empowering vibe.
The singer positively addresses her relationships with Pete Davidson, Ricky Alvarez, Big Sean and the late Mac Miller throughout the album — sharing that although they taught her valuable lessons and that she loves them as individuals, she has moved on.
In only a matter of hours, the album shot straight to the No. 1 spot on iTunes in a number of different countries. Thank U, Next is currently expected to dominate the Billboard 200 for a number of weeks.
Before its release, Grande kept very busy. She dropped an incredibly nostalgic music video, released Imagine and 7 Rings, became Billboard’s 2018 Woman of the Year and got inked with possibly one of the most controversial tattoos of all time.
It’s clear the Dangerous Woman singer is living her best life and her fans love it.

After the tragic Manchester bombing in 2017, the death of her ex-boyfriend and a number of break-ups, Grande was down in the dumps. But it seems as though things have been looking up since her return to music.
Grande and Davidson reportedly began dating last May, but for undisclosed reasons, their engagement was called off. It wasn’t long after the tragic death of Miller.
Davidson had nothing but kind words for her, despite joking about his split with Grande in a promo released ahead of an episode of SNL. The comic said the break-up was “nobody’s business,” but added that Grande is a “wonderful, strong person” and that he “genuinely wishes her all the happiness in the world.”
Two albums in only six months? 2018 may have been a tough year for the 25-year-old, but it’s clear she’s back and stronger than ever.
“I can’t stop crying,” wrote the singer to her fans.
“I love y’all. I hope you enjoy this album. You guys saved my life.”

#ThankUNext very quickly became the leading trend on Twitter.
Memes comparing Sweetener to Thank U, Next were popular among many.
It’s already being dubbed Grande’s best album yet by many of her loyal followers.
The general day one consensus was that no one could agree on which song was that best.
“Thank U, Next is a bloody masterpiece,” wrote one fan.
The singer’s older brother, Frankie Grande, even offered some kind words. “It’s impossible for me to pick a favorite or a top 5 because this entire album is the greatest thing I have ever heard! #thankunext,” he wrote.

Grande will be returning to the stage this spring to celebrate her two latest albums, Sweetener (2018) and of course, Thank U, Next.
The world tour will commence with a 42-date leg across North America, spanning from March to June.
