Hulk Hogan has been reinstated into the WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc.) Hall of Fame.
The wrestling company announced the news on Sunday, three years after it suspended Hogan for using racial slurs.
“After a three-year suspension, Hulk Hogan has been reinstated into the WWE Hall of Fame. This second chance follows Hogan’s numerous public apologies and volunteering to work with young people, where he is helping them learn from his mistake. These efforts led to a recent induction into the Boys & Girls Clubs of America Alumni Hall of Fame,” the WWE said in a statement.
The WWE terminated their contract with Hogan in July 2015 after he was captured on tape using the n-word to refer to his daughter’s boyfriend.
When he was fired from the company, he was taken off the WWE website and his merchandise was taken out of the company’s online store.
Hogan’s photo and bio were back on the Hall of Fame page on Sunday.

Once Hogan’s suspension was lifted, he tweeted that he had met with some of the WWE talent.
“Just met with the @WWE Superstars and on all levels the volume of love and support was overwhelming,” Hogan wrote. “I’ve been praying for this day and I finally feel like I made it back home. Only Love 4 the #WWEUNIVERSE brother HH.”

Hogan was the main draw for the first WrestleMania in 1985 and was a fixture for years in its signature event, facing everyone from Andre The Giant and Randy Savage to The Rock and even company chairman Vince McMahon.
He won six WWE championships and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005 by Sylvester Stallone.
He was able to transcend his “Hulkamania” fan base to become a celebrity outside the wrestling world, appearing in numerous movies and television shows, including a reality show about his life on VH1, Hogan Knows Best.
