2 men charged after late-night shooting in Ottawa

Ottawa police said Friday afternoon they have charged two men as they investigate gunshots fired in the south end of the city around 11:30 p.m. Thursday.

Ali Dia of Ottawa, 24, and Eric St. Louis of the Kingston area, 29, have each been charged with six firearm-related counts, according to a statement from police.

The two men are scheduled to appear in court Friday, officials said.

No one was injured in the late-night incident near Hunt Club Road and Lorry Greenberg Drive.

Police say the investigation by the guns and gangs unit continues and they may lay further charges.
