Less than a week after issuing a public plea for assistance, Edmonton police have arrested a man they describe as a violent offender.
Cody Young, 25, was taken into custody on March 20 in the area of 97 Street and 82 Avenue. Police said there was a “very brief chase” during the arrest, when police said a citizen helped police catch Young.
He has been remanded into custody and has been charged with multiple offences, including possession of a loaded restricted firearm, carry a concealed weapon, possession of a controlled substance and obstruction of a police officer, on top of the 49 warrants he was already wanted on.
