The Eskimos have another player coming back to Edmonton after a stint in the National Football League as the team announced it had agreed to terms on a deal with defensive back Aaron Grymes on Wednesday night.

Grymes was away from the team for all of 2016 and part of 2017 while trying to land a spot on an NFL team, primarily with the Philadelphia Eagles. Earlier this month, the Eskimos also brought back wide receiver Derel Walker after he was released by the NFL’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

In three previous seasons with the Eskimos (2013, 2014 and 2015), Grymes recorded 101 tackles, eight interceptions, one fumble recovery and one quarterback sack in 43 games. The 26-year-old Seattle native also earned all-star recognition during the 2015 Canadian Football League season when he was named to both the West and CFL All-Stars. Grymes was also a member of the Eskimos team that won the Grey Cup that year.
